Automatic Loan Numbering

How do I set up the automatic loan numbers?
Answer:
To
set up the auto loan numbering system:
Select
Administration / System Data Maintenance / Current
System Options.On the Demo you will get a message about
what you cant change, click OK.
You
will now see the Current System Options dialog.
Click on Tab System Options 2.
Click the Edit button to allow changes.
Check the checkbox Autonumber.
Click on the Save button.
Click on Exit.
Select
Administration / System Data Maintenance / Create New
Loan Numbers.
Enter
How many = 1000
Enter Starting No = 1000
Enter
or ignore prefix and suffix as you desire.
Prefix and suffix are Alpha
Starting Number is numeric.
Click
on Create Loan Numbers
Click on Done
You
now have a list of 1000 numbers.
When they are all used, you can create more.
Select
Loan / New Loan Simple
Note
that the first auto number has been assigned to this
loan
Enter
some data and save the loan.
Now
try another new loan. It will be assigned the next loan
in the sequence.
